Each project comes with its own Kanban board (todo, in progress, done), where you can assign tasks to everyone attached to the project. Every user can also find their tasks, from every project, on their personal dashboard. Know what to do, and make progress!

The philosofie behind RAM


RAM project management started as a custom in-house application for the team at S&G software development in 2014. The framework has evolved ever since and was being open-sourced in 2018. The idea behind RAM is that it does not provide the plethora of functions and options that you ussually find in commercial project management applications, but just a core of functionalities that are really needed. RAM can be easily customized by installing modules, which enables you to tailor it exactly to your unique situation. Every company is different, and therefore every project management system should be tailored to different needs. This is probably the reason why there are so many project management applications out there. RAM does not try to cover every unique situation, instead it tries to cover the common ground. By providing the source code and a plugin system, RAM gives the flexibility to improve and extend the platform.

Time Management


When you use RAM you automatically log time for the project that you have opened in the browser. That means that you can very easily track the time you work on your projects! Just open the project page in RAM before you start working on a project, and close the page when you are done. With the timesheet view you can easily see when you worked on what and how much time you spend per project.

Workflow Visualization


With the handy per-project Kanban boards, you can track what needs to be done per project, what is ongoing and what is already finished. In the personalized dashboard you can find all your own open tickets.

Integration & Customization


RAM comes with a module system. Modules are pieces of functionality that can be easily installed in RAM to customize your experience. Of course you can also customize the RAM source code. Contribute to the RAM platform and send us a pull-request!

Requirements

You can install RAM project management on almost any regular apache server including shared hosting accounts.

Open Source

RAM is completely open source. We encourage you to find bugs, open issues and contribute to the RAM platform. You can find the sourcecode on GitHub, please read our License and Contribution notes before you contribute.
